3. Local storage
TreLif is designed primarily to store information locally on the user's device.
The current application does not require a TreLif cloud account or TreLif server account for its core functionality.
Some information may also be stored locally by the Apple Watch companion application.
Apple/device system backups may include application data depending on the user's Apple device, iCloud, backup and system settings.
Such system-level backups are controlled by Apple and the user's device settings rather than TreLif.
4. Apple watch
If the user uses the TreLif Apple Watch companion application, information necessary for Watch functionality may be exchanged between the paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework.
This may include:
- current workout information
- selected exercise information
- workout progress
- exercise settings
- timer information
- relevant settings such as language
WatchConnectivity is used between the user's paired devices.
TreLif does not use WatchConnectivity to send this information to a TreLif server.
5. Menstrual cycle information
TreLif may allow users to record menstrual cycle information including period dates and related notes.
Cycle calculations and forecasts are intended for general wellness and informational purposes only.
TreLif is not a medical device.
Cycle predictions must not be presented as suitable for contraception, fertility determination, diagnosis or treatment.
Users with medical concerns should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
6. Fitness, nutrition and wellness
TreLif provides fitness, nutrition and wellness tools for general informational and organisational purposes.
BMI calculations, calorie estimates, workout suggestions, nutrition information and wellness calculations are not medical advice and should not be considered diagnosis or treatment recommendations.
Individual requirements vary.
Users who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have medical conditions, injuries, take medication or have concerns about exercise or nutrition should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
7. Healthkit / apple health
TreLif currently does NOT access or integrate with Apple Health or HealthKit.
TreLif currently does not read health information from or write health information to Apple Health.
If HealthKit functionality is introduced later, the Privacy Policy and relevant privacy disclosures must be updated.
8. Notifications
TreLif may request permission for local notifications.
They may be used for reminders, workout information, cycle reminders and other TreLif functionality.
TreLif currently uses local notifications and does not require a TreLif server account to deliver them.
Users can control notification permissions through Apple device settings.
9. External websites and services
TreLif may allow users to open external websites or applications, including exercise videos, educational materials and other resources.
When a user chooses to open an external service, that service may receive information normally transmitted by the browser/device such as IP address and request information.
An exercise name or search phrase may form part of a user-initiated external search request.
External services operate according to their own privacy policies and terms.
10. Sharing
Some TreLif functionality may allow users to deliberately share selected information, such as shopping-list text, using Apple's system sharing interface.
Information is shared only after the user initiates the sharing action and chooses a destination.
Receiving applications/services have their own privacy practices.
11. Advertising, tracking and analytics
TreLif currently does not include:
- third-party advertising
- advertising SDKs
- cross-app advertising tracking
- third-party analytics SDKs
- behavioural advertising profiles
TreLif does not sell users' personal information.
12. Accounts
TreLif currently does not require an online TreLif account.
The current version therefore does not maintain a server-side TreLif user account requiring separate deletion.
13. Deleting trelif data
TreLif provides an in-app function for deleting locally stored application data.
Path:
Me → Privacy & Data → Delete All My Data
After confirmation, TreLif removes the categories of locally stored application data covered by the deletion function.
If the paired Apple Watch is unavailable/disconnected when deletion occurs, it may not receive the cleared state immediately. Synchronisation can occur after communication becomes available.
Deleting information from TreLif does not necessarily remove copies already contained in Apple/device system backups.
Backup retention/deletion is controlled through the user's Apple account/device settings.
14. Data security
TreLif is designed to minimise unnecessary transmission of personal information and keep core application data locally on the user's device.
No electronic storage system or device can be guaranteed completely secure.
Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for their device, device passcode and Apple account.
15. Children's privacy
TreLif is not specifically designed or directed at children.
TreLif does not knowingly operate an online service intended to collect personal information from children.
The current application does not require an online account and primarily stores information locally.
Parents/guardians should supervise minors' use of fitness, nutrition and wellness applications where appropriate.
16. International data transfers
TreLif currently does not operate a TreLif cloud account or server infrastructure to which the core personal information described here is routinely uploaded.
When users voluntarily use external services through TreLif, information transmitted to those services may be processed in other countries according to those services' privacy practices.
Apple may process device, App Store, backup or platform-related information according to Apple's policies.
17. Changes to this privacy policy
TreLif may update the Privacy Policy when functionality, legal requirements or data practices change.
The latest version will be available at:
If a future version introduces material changes such as cloud accounts, HealthKit, analytics or online synchronisation, the policy and relevant app disclosures must be updated.
